Marinika Tepic Rebuts Ana Brnabić's Claims Opposition Blocks Serbia's EU Progress

Marinika Tepic, deputy president of the Freedom and Justice Party (SSP) and head of its parliamentary group, responded to Serbian parliamentary speaker Ana Brnabić’s accusation that the pro‑European opposition hinders the country's EU integration. Tepic posted on social media that Brnabić’s statements were false, citing the timeline of EU accession negotiations: two chapters opened in 2015, four in 2016, six in 2017, four in 2018, two in 2019 and a “cluster four” with four chapters in 2021. She noted that no new chapter has been opened in the subsequent five years, attributing the stagnation to the ruling authorities.

Tepic also accused the government of electoral fraud, media manipulation, and links to corruption and organized crime tied to the Vučić family, concluding that a European path for Serbia is impossible under the current administration.
