Marinus Obermair launches 350‑km Danube swim from Passau to Bratislava

Adventure creator and extreme athlete Marinus Obermair began his yfood River Race 350 on Sunday, 26 July 2026 at 17:40 in Passau, Germany. He aims to swim the 350‑kilometre Danube stretch to Bratislava, Slovakia, within 72 hours, a world‑record attempt.

The challenge will be livestreamed on yfood.com, YouTube and TikTok, with commentary by Jan Mihm. Obermair faces heat‑wave conditions, low water flow, debris and night darkness, and will rest only briefly on a yfood houseboat at the river locks. He receives support from creators and personalities such as Luca Hänni, DJ Ötzi, Joey Kelly and others who act as “kilometre sponsors” and send encouragement throughout the swim.
