Mario Domínguez joins Excelsior Rotterdam on loan from Valencia CF

Mario Domínguez is joining Excelsior Rotterdam on loan from Valencia CF for the upcoming season in the Eredivisie. The transfer agreement includes an option for the Dutch club to purchase the striker for slightly more than one million euros, covering over 50% of the player's rights.

Domínguez, who recently renewed his contract with Valencia until 2028, has been a prolific scorer for Valencia's reserve team, Valencia Mestalla. He has made five appearances for the senior squad since his La Liga debut in 2022.

Excelsior's technical director, Mark Ruijl, noted that the club had been monitoring the player for some time to address their striker needs. The 22-year-old expressed confidence in the move, citing the tactical appeal of the Eredivisie and the trust shown by manager Ruben den Uil.
