Mario Gallego of Herencia secured the silver medal in the Spanish Duathlon Cross Championships held in Calahorra, following a fourth‑place finish at the European Duathlon Championships in Banyoles a few days earlier. His back‑to‑back performances highlight his strong form at both continental and national levels.

Eighteen‑year‑old Amanda García from El Espinar captured the junior women’s title at the same Calahorra event. García, who previously earned two bronze medals at the European championships in Banyoles, delivered the fastest bike split and held off competitors to claim the gold, adding a third medal to her tally within a two‑week span.
