Mario Gila's move from Lazio sparks bidding war among Atalanta and Napoli

Lazio centre‑back Mario Gila is the focal point of the Serie A summer transfer window. Napoli have placed him at the top of their defensive wish list and have met with his entourage in Milan, but their offer of around €15 million falls short of Lazio’s asking price.

Atalanta are also pursuing Gila and have publicly stated they will not exceed €25 million for the player.
