Mario Hernán Uribe denounces death threats received via Instagram

Mario Hernán Uribe, an actor, musician, and teacher from Río Negro known by his character ‘Petroka’ or ‘El Marito’, has publicly denounced receiving death threats and harassment via Instagram.

Uribe reported that the intimidation began after he failed to respond to messages from an individual he has known since childhood. The situation escalated into explicit violence, including audio messages where the aggressor threatened to go to Uribe’s home in General Roca to stab him. The individual, who reportedly resides in the Carlos Soria neighborhood, claimed to be a family man during the threats.

Uribe expressed concern regarding the lack of institutional response and the social tendency to trivialize digital harassment. He noted that such incidents are more common than perceived, drawing parallels to recent threats faced by media personality Homero Pettinato. While Uribe chose to protect the identity of the aggressor’s family members, he shared the audio to highlight the severity of the aggression and the vulnerability of victims on digital platforms.
