Mario Hezonja rejects Israel, UAE offers and eyes new club after Real Madrid
Mario Hezonja, the 31‑year‑old Croatian forward of Real Madrid, has turned down financially larger proposals from Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel and a club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He specified a salary demand of €3.5‑4 million per year and signalled that neither option suits him. Turkish powerhouse Anadolu Efes has shown serious interest and is reportedly in talks to meet his terms. Spanish media also note interest from Greek side Panathinaikos, while Hezonja remains under contract with Real until 2029 but is seeking a move. The Croatian forward, a former NBA draft pick who previously played for UNICS Kazan, Panathinaikos and Barcelona, is viewed as one of Europe’s top players and his next destination is being closely watched.
