Croatian forward Mario Hezonja has confirmed he will remain with Real Madrid until at least 2029, citing loyalty to the club. His contract contains a sole NBA opt‑out clause, meaning a move to the United States is the only scenario that would prompt his departure. Hezonja told a Croatian TV station, “It is an honour to wear this jersey for so long and I hope to keep doing so for many more years.”

Speculation linking Hezonja to a potential deal in Dubai has been dismissed as unfounded. Real Madrid finished the season without a trophy but reached the EuroLeague final, and Hezonja was named the most valuable player of the Spanish Liga Endesa regular season. He signed a five‑year extension in 2024, and there are no indications of a transfer to other clubs such as Hapoel Tel Aviv.
