Mario Iannuzziello releases jazz album The Town Does Not Exist

Double bassist and composer Mario Iannuzziello has released a new jazz album titled The Town Does Not Exist via AlfaMusic. Recorded at Bunker Studio in New York, the project features a trio consisting of Iannuzziello on double bass, Addison Frei on piano, and Diego Joaquin Ramirez on drums.

The album balances jazz standards, such as I Thought About You, I Fall in Love Too Easily, and My Old Flame, with original compositions by Iannuzziello, including the title track, Little Church, Blues on My Mind, The Dobler-Dahmer Theory, and Hindsight. The recording, produced by John Davis, includes ten tracks and two alternate takes.

The title track draws inspiration from the poetry of Anne Sexton and visual imagery, aiming to create a dialogue between musical tradition and personal, literary, and visual narratives.
