Mario Iorgulescu ordered to pay 2.2 million lei in insurance damages

A Bucharest court has ordered Mario Iorgulescu to pay over 2.2 million lei (approximately 430,000 euros) plus legal interest to an insurance company. The ruling stems from a fatal accident caused by Iorgulescu in September 2019.

The insurance company, which originally paid out damages following the tragedy, is now seeking to recover those funds from Iorgulescu. Gino Iorgulescu, acting as the legal guardian for his son, has appealed the decision. The case is expected to proceed to the Bucharest Court of Appeal.
