Mario Miccio, prominent Castellammare restaurateur, passes away

The community of Castellammare di Stabia is mourning the passing of Mario Miccio, a prominent local restaurateur and figure in the city's commercial life.

Miccio's career in the food industry began in the historic center of the city before moving to Corso Vittorio Emanuele in the 1990s, where he managed the historic Ristorante-Pizzeria ‘Tolino’. The establishment served as a social landmark for generations of local families, hosting numerous significant life events and celebrations.

Beyond his work in hospitality, Miccio was deeply involved in local economic development. He served as the president of the Associazione Promozione e Sviluppo del Centro Commerciale Stabiese, where he worked to support local businesses. He was also a key organizer of the ‘Addio all’estate’ festival, an annual September event that transforms Corso Vittorio Emanuele into a pedestrian zone to promote local commerce and social interaction.
