Mario Pergolini talks retirement, family life and potential Boca Juniors presidency
In a candid interview on Telenoche, Argentine media veteran Mario Pergolini said he hopes to “retire completely” and reflected on how his career has changed over the past 15 years. He reaffirmed his earlier view that “television is dead,” noting that the medium is no longer what it was and that he himself has grown older and shifted his focus.
Pergolini also spoke at length about his family, describing his three children – Tomás (32), Matías (28) and Valentina (20) – as “three very different people who attended almost the same schools.” He credited his wife, Dolores Galán, for playing a crucial role in their upbringing. Additionally, he mentioned a lingering desire to become more involved with Boca Juniors, saying that “as president it would be the most logical step, perhaps building a good team to make things work.”
