Mario Román and Owen Stewart lead Copa Rotativa de Golf

Mario Román and Owen Stewart are currently tied for the lead in the 51st edition of the Copa Rotativa de Golf at the Puerto Plata Golf Club. Both players recorded 69 strokes during the first day of the tournament held at the Playa Dorada Golf Club.

Former NBA player Ron Mercer follows in second place with 70 strokes, while Daniel Pérez and Benny Martínez are tied for third with 71 strokes. The competition has set a record for participation, with 152 players registered.

This edition is dedicated to businessman Fernando Ortega Brugal, known as ‘Don Nano’. The tournament, which is the second oldest in the Dominican Republic, will continue on September 4 and 5, featuring both the Rotativa Cup for club members and an Open competition for guests.
