Mario Valentini releases new book on Etruscan history in Perugia

Former Mayor of Perugia, Mario Valentini, has released a new book titled ‘Etruschi di campagna. Una storia civile della Tuscia perugina’. The work explores the Etruscan presence in the rural landscapes of the Perugia territory, focusing on daily life, agricultural work, and the relationship between the ancient civilization and the land rather than just major monuments and cities.

The book aims to connect ancient historical roots to the contemporary identity of the Perugia community. The presentation of the volume is scheduled for September 11, 2026, at the University for Foreigners of Perugia. Proceeds from the book will support research against cancer and rare diseases.
