Marion Cotillard's film “Milo” announced for San Sebastián competition
Studiocanal and Trésor Films have released a new image of Marion Cotillard opposite Théodore Pellerin for director Nicola Garcia’s drama Milo. The film has been selected for competition at the 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival in September, with Studiocanal handling German distribution and international sales. Early territorial deals cover Canada (Mongrel Media), Scandinavia (Scanbox), Switzerland (Frenetic), Greece (Spenzos), Portugal (Lusomundo), CIS countries (Capella) and the former Yugoslav region (MCF).
Cotillard, who also stars in upcoming projects Karma (directed by Guillaume Canet) and L’Enragé (Emmanuelle Bercot), is portrayed as Alice, a woman who takes a café job in a provincial town and is drawn into a mysterious past linked to a young mechanic, Milo. The publicity underscores the actress’s busy schedule at major European festivals and her shift toward quieter, emotionally nuanced roles.
