Marios Salmas raises conflict of interest concerns regarding Singular Logic
Independent Member of Parliament Marios Salmas has raised concerns regarding a potential conflict of interest involving Singular Logic ahead of upcoming national elections. In a formal inquiry submitted to Interior Minister Theodoros Livanios, Salmas questioned whether the company can maintain the necessary impartiality to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
While acknowledging Singular Logic as a highly skilled and recognized firm that has handled election IT support since 1981, Salmas pointed to other significant contracts held by the company and its parent group. Specifically, he noted a €22 million project with the Ministry of Culture's Special Account for Archaeological Finds (ODAP) in 2024, as well as other contracts involving ticket sales for archaeological sites.
Salmas urged the Interior Minister to clarify if these existing ties constitute a conflict of interest and asked whether the government has prepared alternative solutions to ensure that the collection, transmission, and processing of election results remain beyond reproach.
