Marisa Laurito receives Genius Loci award in Villaricca

Actress Marisa Laurito has been awarded the third edition of the ‘Genius Loci – Armando De Rosa’ prize in Villaricca. The ceremony, organized by the Municipality of Villaricca and the Pro Loco Villaricca, took place at the courtyard of Palazzo Somma-Baldascino.

The award was decided by a commission including Deputy Mayor and Culture Councilor Giovanni Granata, councilors Teresa Montella and Francesco Cacciapuoti, and Pro Loco representatives Anna Maria Porcelli and Salvatore Salatiello. Mayor Francesco Gaudieri noted that the prize serves to unite generations through the shared identity and heritage of the territory, honoring the legacy of Armando De Rosa.

Laurito, recognized for her contributions to Neapolitan culture and her work with Eduardo De Filippo, was previously involved in the ‘Villaricca – Sergio Bruni’ award, which aimed to teach Neapolitan song to students.
