Marisa Tomei to headline NAMI benefit performance in Beverly Hills

A West Coast benefit performance of the play ‘This is Crazy!’ is scheduled for October 13 at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. The one-night-only event, which includes an after-party, aims to raise funds for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

The production is held in memory of Hollywood talent manager Chris Huvane, who died by suicide in 2022 after a long battle with depression. The project was developed as an initiative by CAA’s Community & Impact. Producers include Ruth-Ann Huvane, a NAMI national board member, and Tony Montenieri of Lotus Productions.

The cast features Marisa Tomei, Rob Morrow, Rosanna Arquette, Rudy Pankow, Lois Smith, Rachel Hilson, Colette Hayes, Luke Ferrari, and Olivia Oguma. This follows a previous New York City benefit for the same work that raised nearly $500,000. The play, written by V (formerly known as Eve Ensler), explores themes of mental illness, family, and survival.
