Mariska Hargitay honored with NBC marathon ahead of Emmy hosting

Mariska Hargitay Law & Order: SVU Emmy Awards NBC marathon Olivia Benson

NBC will air a special ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ marathon on September 10 as a tribute to Mariska Hargitay, who is set to host the 78th Emmy Awards on September 14.

The marathon will feature three episodes for which Hargitay received acting nominations or wins for her portrayal of Detective Olivia Benson: ‘Charisma’, ‘911’, and ‘Undercover’. This event precedes the Season 28 premiere of the procedural series, which is scheduled for October 8.

Produced by Universal Television and Wolf Entertainment, the long-running series is expected to surpass 600 episodes later this year.
