Marissa Setién appointed executive president of Mexico's Costa Mujeres Hotels Association

On July 29, 2026, the Association of Hotels Costa Mujeres appointed Marissa Setién as its new executive president, succeeding Ramón Rosselló who resigned to return to Spain.

Setién brings more than 35 years of hospitality experience, including leadership of Hotel Villas Tacul and senior roles with the Hotels Associations of Cancun, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres. She said she will continue the association’s focus on environmental, economic and social sustainability, staff training and destination promotion.

The association represents all 24 hotels in Costa Mujeres, together offering around 11,500 rooms, and is recognized as a leading luxury tourism destination in the Mexican Caribbean.
