Maritana Minerals declares maiden Rose Hill gold ore reserve
Maritana Minerals has declared a maiden underground ore reserve for its Rose Hill Project located near Coolgardie, Western Australia. The new reserve consists of 420,000 tonnes at 2.34 grams per tonne of gold, totaling 31,600 ounces. This declaration increases the company’s total gold ore reserve inventory to 235,600 ounces across its portfolio.
Managing Director Grant Haywood stated that the reserve confirms the economic viability of the Rose Hill underground operation and brings the project closer to development. The company also updated the underground mineral resource estimate to 524,000 tonnes at 4.49g/t gold for 75,570 ounces, utilizing a lower 1.0g/t cut-off grade facilitated by higher gold prices and optimization studies.
Ore from Rose Hill is planned to be transported to the Black Swan Processing Hub, where conversion works are currently underway. Maritana aims to begin first gold production in the second half of 2027.
