Maritime accidents in Vietnam and Tanzania result in rescues and fatalities

In Vietnam, 32 fishermen from Da Nang have been rescued following a maritime accident involving the vessel QNa 90859 TS. The Truong Sa 18, part of Naval Region 4, successfully brought the survivors to the port of Cam Ranh.

In Tanzania, a fatal incident occurred at the port of Kigoma on Lake Tanganyika involving the Congolese vessel MV Pacifique. An explosion and fire, reportedly caused by a technical failure during fuel loading, resulted in the deaths of six crew members and left one person missing. The vessel, which operated between Kalemie in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Kigoma, sank following the blast, causing significant material damage.
