Maritime and cultural festivals announced for Palmaria and Pantelleria

Various maritime and cultural initiatives are scheduled across Italian islands. On Palmaria Island, the “Il mare un mondo da esplorare” event will take place on September 5, focusing on environmental education and sea safety for families. Activities include demonstrations by the Pisa Rescue Dog Group, underwater exploration led by the Spezzino Hospital Submarine Group, and kite-making workshops.

On Pantelleria, the fourth edition of the “Rassegna del Mare – Sebastiano Tusa” will run from August 31 to September 2. The festival features archaeological studies, documentaries, and discussions aimed at signing the “Carta di Pantelleria” to protect the island's cultural and environmental heritage. The program includes an award ceremony for Aldo Cazzullo, historical sailing demonstrations with Pantesche spears, and visits to local museums.
