Maritime and sailing events scheduled in the Netherlands

Various maritime organizations in the Netherlands have announced upcoming events focused on sailing and traditional shipping.

On November 21, 2026, the DN Nederland Ice Sailing Association (DN Nederland ijszeilvereniging) will host a skippers meeting, boat and equipment fair, and general members' meeting at WV Het Bovenwater in Lelystad. The event includes opportunities to buy and sell new and second-hand equipment, technical discussions regarding ice sailing, and the election of new board members.

Additionally, the LVBHB will participate in the Traditional Ship Fair in Den Helder on November 6, 7, and 8. The LVBHB program features consultations on traditional wood joints, the safety of roundwood on board, and the transition from lead to lithium battery technology. The fair also includes a presentation titled “Young and yet a ship,” detailing the experience of living on a vessel.
