Maritime disaster search finds no further bodies in shipwreck

Authorities have provided an official update regarding the recent maritime disaster, stating that extensive searches of the vessel have yielded no additional bodies. During a presentation for the families of the missing, officials confirmed that every area of the ship has been thoroughly inspected, including cutting into sections to ensure no space was left unexamined.

Search operations involved multiple assets, including the TCG IŞIN, TCG ALEMDAR, and the deep-sea vessel Optimus Prime–Derin Su. Orhan Taktak, owner of the Derin Su company, provided technical details on how the vessel was scanned.

While no further remains were found inside the ship, search efforts are not concluded. Operations continue across air, land, and sea to locate any individuals who may be in the surrounding waters. Additionally, the Voyage Data Recorder (VDR), or black box, has been recovered and handed over to the police for investigation.
