Maritime fashion surge: Dolce&Gabbana opens Buenos Aires boutique, 66°North launches fisherman‑core line

Fashion houses are reviving nautical aesthetics this season. In Argentina, Dolce & Gabbana inaugurated its first boutique in Buenos Aires’ Patio Bullrich, showcasing the brand’s full menswear and womenswear collections alongside accessories, jewellery and beauty products. The store’s design emphasizes black lacquer, stainless steel and velvet textures, echoing the label’s Italian heritage while catering to local shoppers.

At the same time, Icelandic outdoor brand 66°North released its new Trawler Collection, a “fisherman‑core” line that draws on the company’s 1926 roots in protective clothing for fishermen. The range features the Dyngja Shell Jacket and Pants with a net‑inspired Trawl print, as well as accessories such as a tote bag, belt and chain that reinterpret fishing ropes and nets. Both releases highlight a broader trend toward sailor‑inspired, technically refined apparel that blends heritage with contemporary style.
