Maritime incidents reported in Setúbal and Algarve

In Setúbal, a recreational boat became unmanned and traveled at high speeds through the Sado River after its sole occupant fell overboard. The Maritime Police intervened to control the vessel, which had been rescued from the water by a nearby boat. The individual was treated on-site by INEM and did not require hospital transport.

In the Algarve, authorities seized a high-speed vessel found abandoned at Telheiro beach in Vila do Bispo. This marks the fifth seizure of a high-speed boat in the region since the beginning of October, amid ongoing operations to combat drug trafficking. The vessel was towed to the Lagos Marina as criminal investigators work to determine its origin.
