Maritime industry summits focus on sustainability and foiling technology

The maritime and yachting industries are focusing on technological and environmental innovation through specialized international summits.

The Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous, organized by M3 Monaco, recently gathered professionals from 30 nationalities to discuss the evolution of marinas. Key topics included biodiversity integration, shore-side electricity, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Discussions highlighted how exploration vessels can serve as scientific research platforms and the necessity of demonstrating effective, identifiable solutions to secure investor funding.

In a separate development announced at the Cannes Yachting Festival, CarraraFiere unveiled the Seatec Revolution Summit 2027. Scheduled for March 10–12, 2027, in Carrara, Italy, the inaugural summit will focus exclusively on ‘Sailing & Foiling’ technology. The event aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and industrial application, focusing on hydrodynamics, advanced composite materials, and digital simulation to advance high-performance maritime technology.
