Maritime Launch Services and Isar Aerospace extend Spaceport Nova Scotia planning deadline

Maritime Launch Services and Isar Aerospace have agreed to extend the deadline for finalizing a statement of work and specific programmatic milestones related to their facilities usage agreement for Spaceport Nova Scotia. The deadline has been moved from September 1, 2026, to September 15, 2026.

The extension is intended to provide additional time for intensive planning and to complete detailed work without altering the key terms of the original agreement announced on July 7, 2026. The partnership focuses on developing a dedicated launch complex for Isar Aerospace’s Spectrum launch vehicle at the Nova Scotia site, with the goal of achieving first orbital launches by 2028. This collaboration aims to support sovereign orbital launch capabilities for Canada and expand Isar Aerospace’s presence in North America.
