Maritime rescue operations conducted in Green Island and Yongan Fishing Port

Two separate maritime incidents involving people falling into the sea occurred in Taiwan during the early morning hours.

In Green Island, a man fell into the sea while walking along a dike at Nanliao Fishing Port. He managed to climb onto a breakwater where he was stranded. The Coast Guard, working alongside local fishermen and fire department personnel, rescued the man using professional equipment including a long backboard and life jacket. The individual was treated for abrasions at the Green Island Health Center.

In a separate incident at Yongan Fishing Port, three individuals (two men and one woman) were swept into the sea by large waves while fishing around 4:40 AM. Bystanders managed to pull the three people back to shore before emergency services arrived. While the woman had already left the scene, fire department personnel assessed the two remaining men, who reported no injuries and declined medical treatment. Authorities have issued warnings regarding coastal safety and the dangers of fishing near dikes and breakwaters during periods of poor visibility or rough seas.
