Maritime rescue operations conducted in Mazatlán and Cabo San Lucas

Emergency responders in Mexico conducted two separate maritime rescues involving medical distress. In Mazatlán, the Municipal Public Security Secretariat’s Aquatic Rescue Squadron used jet skis to rescue five swimmers from Playa Sábalo 1. The group, originally from Guadalajara, struggled against sea currents and experienced exhaustion and nervous crises, though no hospital transfers were required following basic medical assessments.

In Cabo San Lucas, the Mexican Navy (Secretaría de Marina) performed a medical evacuation from a recreational vessel. Rescuers responded to an emergency call regarding a Mexican national suffering from an anxiety crisis. Naval health specialists provided pre-hospital care to stabilize the individual before transferring them to Saint Luk’s Hospital for specialized medical attention.
