Maritime Robotics secures investment to scale autonomous maritime systems

European investor Omnes Capital has joined an ownership group in Norway-based Maritime Robotics through a funding round designed to expand the production of autonomous maritime systems. The investment aims to accelerate international commercialization and scale the company’s dual-use sea drone systems to meet increasing global demand in both the civil and defense sectors.

Other participants in the funding round include Mustard Seed + Partners, EnvisionTech, Nysnø Climate Investment, and Umoe, alongside the company’s founders and employees. Maritime Robotics, founded in 2005 and based in Trondheim, develops autonomous vessels and navigation systems used for offshore energy, hydrographic surveying, environmental monitoring, and maritime security.

The company reported a significant increase in operating revenue, rising to NOK 258.8 million in 2025 from NOK 150.8 million in 2024, though operating profit saw a decrease during the same period.
