Maritime sector events highlight technical and international growth in Spain

The maritime sector in Spain is seeing significant activity through specialized technical forums and major commercial exhibitions. In Marín, the VIII AINE-ENM Technical Conference is being held at the Military Naval School. Co-organized with the Association and Official College of Naval and Ocean Engineers of Spain (AINE and COIN), the event focuses on the technical and diplomatic roles of training ships, described under the theme ‘Training Ships: Tradition, training and floating embassies.’ The conference brings together naval engineers, military commanders, and historians to discuss structural design and the historical evolution of merchant marine training vessels.

Simultaneously, the Barcelona International Boat Show recently concluded a successful edition at Port Vell. Organized by Fira de Barcelona and the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), the event featured over 226 vessels and 170 exhibitors representing more than 300 brands. The show attracted approximately 20,000 visitors, with 15% arriving from abroad, including France, Italy, Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Organizers noted that the event has strengthened its position within the Spanish and European markets through increased commercial activity and international presence.
