Marituba conducts environmental cleaning drive in Riacho Doce and Canaã

The Marituba Municipal Government, through the Municipal Secretariat of Environment and Sustainability (Semmas), conducted a cleaning drive in the Riacho Doce and Canaã community protection areas. The initiative aimed to promote environmental preservation and mobilize residents toward territorial care.

In partnership with Ideflor-Bio, Guamá Tratamento de Resíduos, and Emater-Pará, the event included educational activities such as workshops on biodiversity, circular economy, and waste management. Participants also engaged in seedling planting and interactive ecological trails. Renata Novaes, the municipal secretary of Environment and Sustainability, emphasized that the mobilization seeks to demonstrate that environmental protection requires joint participation from both the public sector and the population.
