Marius Borg Høiby seeks employment during house arrest

Marius Borg Høiby, the 29-year-old son of Norway’s Queen Mette-Marit, is seeking employment while serving house arrest at the Skaugum estate. His new legal counsel, Alexander Greaker, stated that Høiby is “motivated to start working” and aims to secure a job offer under his current judicial restrictions.

Høiby is currently under electronic monitoring following a conviction for multiple offenses, including two counts of rape and violence against a former partner. While he remains under house arrest, his current conditions allow for specific activities such as working, studying, or receiving medical care.

The legal team has recently been restructured to implement a new strategy as Høiby prepares for an appeal. The retrial for his case is scheduled to begin on February 9, 2027, with lawyers intending to review new evidence to challenge the initial four-year prison sentence.
