Marius Borg Høiby seeks employment while under house arrest
Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Norwegian Queen Mette-Marit, is seeking employment while serving temporary detention at the Skaugum royal estate. Following a June conviction on 34 of 40 charges—including two counts of rape, as well as assault, abuse, and drug offenses—Høiby is currently under electronic monitoring while awaiting an appeal process scheduled for February 2027.
Høiby’s new lawyer, Alexander Greaker, stated that his client is “motivated” to secure a specific position to utilize his current form of supervision. While his professional background is varied, including internships at Paper Magazine in New York and Tempus in London, as well as experience in marketing and PR, he has also worked as a motorcycle mechanic. Given his lack of higher education, media reports suggest he may return to mechanical work.
