Universitatea Cluj and Universitatea Craiova complete key player signings

Midfielder Marius Ștefănescu has joined Universitatea Cluj after receiving offers from several Liga 1 clubs, including Sepsi OSK, but chose the vice‑champion because of a more generous financial package and the chance to work with coach Cristiano Bergodi. The transfer was officially announced on 1 June.

Defender Adrian Rus has signed a new two‑year contract with Universitatea Craiova, extending his stay despite other offers. Rus, valued at €1.2 million, made 34 appearances and scored four goals this season and expressed gratitude to the club’s staff and supporters.
