The store's owner, William Hays, attributed the decline in business to economic struggles among supporters, citing rising costs for groceries and utilities. This sentiment aligns with recent polling; a Reuters/Ipsos survey indicated that only 33 percent of respondents approve of Trump's performance in the White House. The survey also noted that 38 percent of voters believe Democrats would manage the economy more effectively than Republicans.
