Mark Coley II makes spectacular home run robbery in Double-A
Milwaukee Brewers prospect Mark Coley II made a spectacular defensive play in a Double-A Southern League game, robbing Atlanta Braves outfielder Eric Hartman of a potential home run.
During a game at Synovus Park in Columbus, Georgia, Hartman hit a deep fly ball toward right-center field. Coley tracked the ball to the wall and jumped to make contact, but the impact caused the ball to pop out of his glove initially. As Coley fell to the ground, he demonstrated significant second effort by successfully securing the ball in his glove while sitting on his backside, completing the out.
The defensive effort prevented a home run that would have followed other recent long balls for the pitcher, Manuel Rodriguez. While Hartman later doubled to center field, Coley's acrobatic play has been widely highlighted as a standout defensive moment of the 2026 season.
