He described the decision as “a horrible idea,” noting that his original tattoo of comedy‑and‑tragedy masks was later covered with a different design.

The confession came during a conversation with guest co‑host Jenna Dewan about the rise of “tattourism,” while Ripa was absent from the show following gum‑graft surgery. Consuelos said he does not recall whose idea the post‑wedding tattoo was, and he expressed embarrassment about the choice.
