Mark Cuban says he would run for president as a Republican

Billionaire businessman Mark Cuban stated during an appearance on the Pivot podcast that if he were to run for president in 2028, he would do so as a Republican.

Cuban explained that a Democratic nomination would not be realistic for him due to the influence of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) within the party. While he noted that the competition of a campaign appeals to him, he clarified that the actual work of governing does not. He emphasized that these comments were regarding the hypothetical thrill of a race rather than a formal declaration of candidacy.
