Mark Cucurila signs for Real Madrid from Chelsea
Real Madrid announced that left‑back Mark Cucurila has joined the club from Chelsea on a six‑year contract lasting until 30 June 2032. The agreement, reached with Chelsea, reportedly involves a transfer fee of around €60‑63 million, including bonuses. Cucurila, 27, previously moved to Chelsea in 2022 from Brighton after progressing through Barcelona’s academy, and has been representing Spain at the 2026 World Cup. Chelsea issued a statement confirming his permanent departure and thanked him for his contributions, including winning the Conference League and the Club World Cup during his tenure.
The signing strengthens Real Madrid’s defensive options under manager Luis de la Fuente and reflects the club’s continued investment in top talent.
