Mark Diemers to start for De Graafschap as Laura Smulders wins BMX World Cup

Mark Diemers is set to make his first start for De Graafschap this Saturday against FC Eindhoven. Despite having joined the club only eight days ago and not having played a full match since April, trainer Thomas Duivenvoorden expressed confidence in the midfielder, noting he is a top professional who may only lack match rhythm.

In international BMX news, Laura Smulders secured her 30th World Cup victory in Beijing. Smulders finished ahead of world champion Bethany Shriever in the final. Her sister, Merel Smulders, also competed, finishing in eighth place.
