Mark Golding denies leaked NaRRA voicenotes represent PNP stance

Leaked WhatsApp voicenotes captured members of Jamaica’s People’s National Party discussing tactics to undermine the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority (NaRRA) and to smear its head, Major General Antony Anderson. PNP President Mark Golding said the recordings were made by individuals in a personal capacity and do not reflect the party’s official position or policy.

Jamaica Labour Party communication chairman Senator Abka Fitz‑Henley condemned Golding for failing to denounce the comments, calling the inaction “shameful and a disgrace” and questioning Golding’s suitability for leadership. The dispute follows the controversial appointment of Anderson as head of NaRRA, an agency tasked with managing post‑disaster reconstruction and resilience in Jamaica.
