Mark Hoppus reveals unreleased Linkin Park vocal recordings

Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus revealed that he recorded vocal takes during Linkin Park’s studio sessions for their album ‘From Zero’, though the recordings were ultimately not included on the final release.

During a Q&A session at the Los Angeles premiere of the Linkin Park documentary ‘Unshatter’, Hoppus jokingly confronted Mike Shinoda about the missing vocals. Shinoda responded by saying, “You were greater than the song.”

The documentary captures Hoppus visiting the studio and reacting to the band's new material. In one clip, Hoppus expresses his admiration for new vocalist Emily Armstrong’s voice, questioning if it is “made of fucking steel,” and notes the emotional impact of the music.

Hoppus and Shinoda also discussed the possibility of collaborating on a musical project in the future.
