Mark Lee expresses interest in creating Kids-POP music

Former NCT member Mark Lee has expressed interest in creating “Kids-POP” music following his departure from SM Entertainment. The singer shared these plans in an episode of the Upper Room YouTube channel titled “Mark Lee & Kids-POP,” released on October 9.

During the episode, Lee spent time with two children at a kids’ café and visited a coin karaoke room. After observing the children’s musical preferences and noting their loss of interest in his own song “Too Much” due to its English lyrics, Lee expressed a desire to write music from a child’s perspective. He stated, “I want to make songs like these, too. If I make songs like these, you have to sing along.”

While the video highlights a new creative direction and potential inspiration for his independent career, it does not officially confirm that Kids-POP will be his next formal musical project.
