Mark Magsayo to face Andres Cortes on Garcia-Benn undercard

Mark Magsayo and Andres Cortes are scheduled to face each other in a 10-round lightweight bout on September 12 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The matchup serves as part of the undercard for the Ryan Garcia vs. Conor Benn event organized by Zuffa Boxing.

Cortes enters the fight with an undefeated record of 25-0, including 13 knockouts. Magsayo, a former featherweight champion, holds a record of 29-2 and is looking to continue a five-fight winning streak. Both fighters have recently moved up from lower weight classes to compete in the lightweight division.

The full event card also includes a heavyweight contest between Damazion Vanhouter and Raphael Akpejiori, as well as a cruiserweight bout featuring Jai Opetaia and Mikaelian. The main event features WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia defending his title against British challenger Conor Benn.
