Mark Medlock announces new album and clarifies relationship with Dieter Bohlen

Singer Mark Medlock has addressed his professional relationship with producer Dieter Bohlen, stating that their previous collaboration was strictly a business arrangement rather than a close friendship. Reflecting on their time together following Medlock's 2007 DSDS victory, Medlock clarified that while they achieved success, they were never best friends and currently maintain no contact.

Medlock is marking a professional restart with the release of his new studio album, ‘Back into the Sun’, produced in collaboration with Christian Geller. He described the album as a product of a period of creative development and personal growth following a hiatus from the music industry.

Regarding his career trajectory, Medlock noted that he is now more relaxed and focused on projects that align with his personal identity. He emphasized the importance of his time away from the spotlight for his mental well-being and stated that he no longer seeks the high-pressure environment of his earlier career, including a potential return to the DSDS jury.
