Mark Ruffalo denies antisemitism accusations amid Oracle controversy

Actor Mark Ruffalo is facing accusations of invoking antisemitic tropes following his public criticism of the relationship between Oracle and the Israeli military. The controversy arose after Ruffalo criticized Sara Catz, an Oracle executive and Paramount board member, regarding technology provided to the Israeli government, and described Israeli military actions as “genocide.”

Paramount Skydance responded to the remarks, stating it was “troubled when antisemitic tropes are invoked in purported service of a business dispute” and emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy for prejudice. Ruffalo has denied the allegations, calling them “appalling and fundamentally dishonest” and arguing that criticizing military technology contracts and political leaders is distinct from criticizing Jewish people.

In a recent response to the controversy, Ruffalo’s son, Keen Ruffalo, expressed support for his father, stating, “I love my dad, and I’m extremely proud of the person he is.”
