Mark Six lottery draw delayed by machine malfunction

During the 99th Mark Six lottery draw on September 12, a technical malfunction occurred when the primary ball machine failed to release numbers. The 49 numbered balls rotated in the center without dropping into the tube, causing a brief delay.

To ensure fairness, staff switched to a backup machine. The transition was conducted under the supervision of onsite guests, including Justice of the Peace Ho Wai Shek and Acting General Secretary of Hong Kong Christian Service Che Ka Yee. Host Stephanie Lee was noted for her calm handling of the situation, explaining the emergency procedures to viewers as the backup machine was prepared.

The draw was completed approximately four minutes later. The winning numbers for this session were 9, 18, 24, 33, 40, 47, with the special number 11. The jackpot for this draw reached 8 million HKD, following a total betting amount of 42.59 million HKD.
